Born and raised in Montreal, Dave Todaro studied Illustration & Design at Dawson College and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education diploma from Concordia University.

"I have been navigating the art world for the past 20 years as a commercial artist, designer, art educator, muralist, and as an art director. All the while, I have kept a painting practice, exhibiting in galleries and collaborating with other artists from around the world.

My artwork is heavily influenced by animals - especially birds, with a focus on the complex relationship between nature and human activity. In my paintings, I seek to highlight the delicate balance between man and nature in an ever-changing world. My paintings are a place where realism meets the surreal."
